Dear friends,
I probably should have come to you long, long ago. Perhaps it was pride, and perhaps I thought my situation would resolve. I need a job and my financial situation is tight, like being in a vice grip. It is overwhelming.
I have been having a very hard time finding one. I can't just take anything- My unemployment is more than most entry level or lower paying jobs, because I made a good salary at my last position.
I am almost done with my Master's degree, and have invested a lot of money in my education.
My background has been in both sales and social services. I am trying to get a job in the health care system, perhaps in customer service, than I will be in when I finish my Master's and can work as a therapist. I am open to other sales but I can't afford to do anything with straight commision or that would take a long time to build a client base. I need security at this time.
I got hired at Ameriprise as a financial advisor, but could not pass the Series 7 exam, which was hard. I missed by only 2 points the second time. I did pass the insurance test, and could sell life & health insurance, if I could find something with a stable base pay. I have applied to several inside sales jobs. In my last job I was a consultative type sales person, working in the inside with VP-level people.
Please pray for me that God would relieve my financial situation, and help me find a job that fits my backround, education and past salary range.
I do not live high; I live fairly simply, not a scrupously so as some probably, but I am not materialist or extravagant at all.
Any prayers are appreciated.
thanks,
Lance

Dear Lance,
My humble and fervent prayers to our merciful God, through the intercessions of St. Xenia of Petersburg and St. Joseph, that you will find suitable employment in the field you want, where you can use the gifts of knowledge and education which God has bestowed upon you...that opportunity will come for you and other devout Christians, here and everywhere, who are beseeching the Lord for this same intention.
Humbly in Christ our Hope, Alice

Prayers for the intercession of St. Jude in your time of need. AMEN! Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
