America is a beter song, but is the same as "God Save The Queen" in tune. ( I like God Save The Queen but...)
I'd also reject, as a Tennessean by upbringing, any attempt to amke the Battle Hymn sung in public.
So we'll stick to the Star Spangled Banner on my end.

Fr. Serge I've heard the Ukrainian National Anthem sung to the tune of I Think I Love You by the Partridge Family at karaoke once... Only in Pittsburgh.

I vote for C...America (My country tis of thee). Jason PS: Though I admit, I always shed a tear when I hear Elvis' rendition of Dixie.

I always opt for The Star Spangled Banner.
As for Dixie, I like it, but I much prefer The Bonnie Blue Flag.

It was actually a Yankee who wrote it.

I also enjoy Yiddish - but is there a Yiddish translation of the Star-Spangled Banner written to fit the music? [The music, incidentally, is that of an English drinking-song called "To Anacreon in Heaven".]

Well, I'd stick with the Star Spangled Banner just for traditions sake, but if I went back in time I'd vote for God Bless America.
On a related note, I'm afriad to say that the USSR/Russia had the best national anthem I've heard MUSICALLY, not lyricly.
