My brothers in Christ!
I ask everyone in this room to pray for me as i prepare myself for the ordination to diaconate. Pray that I would be God's faithful deacon. I look forward to finding ways to serve my Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the USA. Whatever gifts God has given me, I desire to use them to serve my Ukrainian people.

Christ is Risen!
My dear brothers in Christ.
I am grateful for your prayers and good wishes.

My ordination will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine in Washington,DC at 10:30 a.m.
I would like to invite everyone of you to come for my ordination.
Prayerfully Yours with Love in Christ,
Seminarian -Ivan Turyk

His Grace, Metropolitan Stefan Soroka will ordain Ivan Turyk to the Diaconate this week during the Divine Liturgy. There will only be one Divine Liturgy this Sunday at 10:30 am. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

The Shrine is located on Harewood Rd. in Washington, DC. Across the street from the Catholic University campus and up the hill from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

Best wishes, Ivan.

Congratulations, Father Deacon Ivan, on your ordination. I was trying to make in time to see it, but got held up in traffic. [I admit I also got a little lost].

God Grant you many Years as His Deacon!

Dear Father Deacon,

Slava Isusu Khrystu!

The Lord bless you and keep you.

The Lord make His Face shine upon you and be gracious unto you.

The Lord lift up His Countenance upon you and grant you peace.

Alex
