I'm filling out the seminary application.

Please keep me in your prayers.

I'm slightly terrified.

Thank you for the prayers. The Pyrohy knows, but I'm not disclosing yet. I WILL say that I have poor penmanship (I am no pen-man) and of course, it being 2008, I don't have a typewriter... colleges and universities have online applications, but I guess seminaries don't. Anyway, I've been using Photoshop to text-box in my answers. They should accept me on ingenuity alone! although a good friend of mine actually suggested the text boxes...

but I digress.

Prayers for you, Marc. And though it is indeed digressive from the purpose of the thread, you indeed deserve to be accepted on the basis of the ingenuity, regardless of whose idea it was.

Many years,

Neil

THY WILL BE DONE!

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

A Prayer for Seminarians

Lord Jesus Christ, our True God, You came to earth to show us the way to the Father. You established Your Holy Church on Your Holy Apostles and through them and their successors You provided a way for all men to find a knowledge of the Truth You came to reveal. Through Your Holy Church You have given the Holy Spirit in a special way through the grace of discernment to certain holy men for the benefit of those around them, to be their future spiritual fathers.

Bless all the men you have called who are now seminarians, preparing themselves to be our future spiritual fathers. I see Your Providential Hand in placing them in the seminary at this time and place and I thank You from the bottom of my heart for this special care You have shown for the future of Your Holy Church. Bless all the seminarians studying at this time for their generosity in answering Your Call to do the work that You want them to do for Your Honor and Glory, and for the salvation of all Your People. Nourish them with all the means You have established in Your Holy Church so that they may always be a blessing from You to us.

Through the prayers of the Mother of God, Lord, hear and answer our prayers for the seminarians preparing to serve Your People. AMEN.

Holy Mother of God, spread your Protecting Veil over all seminarians and intercede with Your Son and Our God for them always now and ever and unto ages of ages. AMEN.

Marc:

Take note, man. This one was inspired by you. smile grin

Holy Mary, full of the presence of God during your life you accepted with great humility the Holy Will of the Father and the legacy of your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion. Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties. With all simplicity and patience you have given us example on how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our Mother forever, you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord. Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive in your hands domilsean's vocation and deliver us from the chains and confusions that have us restrained. Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession and by your example, deliver us from evil and untie the knots that keep us from uniting with God, so that once free of every confusion and error, we may find Him in all things, have Him in our hearts and serve him always in our brothers and sisters. Mother of Good Counsel pray for us . Amen
