If anyone knows of a church goods supplier who still makes/has these tabernacles I am possibly still interested for one in our parish.
Fr. Bo Father, Here's a picture of a hanging dove tabernacle offered by Granda Liturgical Arts. [ usagranda.com] Here's the main page; the dove tabernacle is #16 out of 46. [ usagranda.com] Their 2007 price list, which I have in hard-copy (I don't know if it is on their website), gives its price as USD $11,750. Granda is a Spanish Company, and many of their craftsmen are associated with Opus Dei. Some of their salesmen said when visiting our seminary that anybody who takes religion seriously in Spain is usually a member of the work... They supplied the new tabernacle for our seminary chapel - and I am able to attest that their artistry in metal, gems, and enamels is exquisit.

This discussion warms my heart. I remember very well that the chapel at the former Byzantine Franciscan Monastery in New Canaan, CT had "a dove"...That was about 25 years ago...and I have yet to see one, personally, since...

Does anyone know whatever became of the New Canaan BC Franciscan monastery? I know it closed sometime ago, and the screen went to some church somewhere, but what happened to the monastery itself?
