Hamas Cleric Predicts 'Rome Will Be Conquered by Islam' [foxnews.com]
Quote
A sermon last Friday by a prominent Muslim cleric and Hamas member of the Palestinian parliament openly declared that "the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital," would soon be conquered by Islam.

...

"Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our prophet Muhammad," he added.

St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle!

We will prevail. The death of Catholicism will spell the death of Western Christendom. Every Christian must now unite, irrespective of denomination against this travesty that robs us Christians of our dignity and the saving truth which is Jesus Christ. No, Rome will not be conquered. Never.

....what has stopped them so far? frown

Is a Crusade soon to be in order? For real? They surely don't listen to diplomacy.

Probably it is a knee-jerk reaction of this Muslim cleric to the now publicised conversion of one of Italy's most famous and controversial journalist Magdi Allam.

He was baptized by Pope Benedict XVI last Easter.

Someone let me know when the Moslems stop killing one another
and then I'll worry. Mohammed forbade Moslems to kill other
Moslems. His son Ali was killed my other Moslems and so was
a grandson. They haven't stopped since. Anybody remember the
Iran-Iraq war? Iraq today?

Now we Christians have a pretty shabby record of killing one
another too, but we can get together sometimes. A hundred years
ago almost the whole world was under (at least nominally) Christian rule. The real danger is in the un-Christianing of
Christendom.

LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!

Listening to Handel's Messiah, or the Ava Maria, or Russian choral church music...one cannot help but be brought to tears by the amazing Holy Spirit filled beauty of worship and praise which has been inspired to men through the ages by our faith and love in our Lord Jesus Christ....

Individuals of Islam have been granted little or none of these same heavenly graces.

I wish that the whole of Christendom (despite our differences) would stop fighting each other and rejoice in the beauty of our faith through the ages in Jesus Christ--rejoice and appreciate it through worship--before it is too late.

Kyrie Eleison! Kyrie Eleison! Kyrie Eleison!

Rome one day might physically be conquered that is a possibility, but spiritually conquered never!

That gets to the core of it. Rome has been in physical trouble at various points in history. Capitals can shift if that were to happen again.

I think it is very plausible that Rome, the city, will be conquered by Islam. With the veritable Islam invasion of Europe, and the lack of conviction in resisting it (along with the lack of Christian Faith in Europe today), I don't see why it would be any more immune than Constantinople was.

Of course, the fall of Rome, the city, to Islam does not mean the same thing as the fall of Rome, the seat of Peter.

I wonder how it will be when "Europeans" wake up one morning to find their land is majority Muslim. Will that shake them into action? What about if alcohol is banned and women are forced to cover themselves in public? Will that shake them?

Unfortunately, I don't think that terrible European dance techno would be harmed at all! So we can't rely on THAT shaking them.

But seriously, what will it take to wake up Christian Europe?

There is a tipping point, but when it is reached it may be too late for them to take their faith seriously.

Western Europe is in the process of committing religious and cultural suicide. France, which obviously has forgotten the mass rioting of 2005 has put actress Brigitte Bardot on trial http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,351363,00.html for comments she made about Islam. With all the decadence, perversion, self hate etc coming out of Western Europe it's refreshing to see increasing numbers of Russians militantly displaying their faith and love of their culture.

alors, mon frere (I'm on a French thing now). you or so right! but in a moment of satori I have realized that the real danger of these spawns of Satan taking over Europe can ,and must be noted ,and noted well, is the Liberal fifth column in our midst that have watered down and relativized the Holy Christian faith, and it is making it so much the easier for St. Peter's Basilica and St.Paul's Cathedral to join Hagia Sophia to be desecrated by being turned into mosques. mark my words.

During the 8th and 9th century Arab conquests of Sicily and Southern Italy, Rome was conquered by Islam. In 846 the muslims even took the gold iconostasis out of St. Peter's!
