Christ is in our midst! To those in the New Calendar, Christos Anesti!!!

I was wondering if anyone can provide a running list of familiar and basic liturgical/prayer phrases/lines in Greek? Well, prayers too if possible. It would be a great beginner for those wanting to familiarize themselves with the Byzantine Rite. I have some lines in Arabic and will post it up too, for those who would be interested. Newbie Melkites or future Melkites... this is your place.

PS: I suggest a parallel thread for those who are interested in Church Slavonic. biggrin

"Thoxa PaTREE, keh EEou, keh AyEEou PNEVmahtee." (Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the ages of ages."

"KEE-ree-eh eLEHeeson." (Lord, have mercy)

"PaRAskoo KEE-ree-eh." (Grant this, O Lord)

"Kai to PNEVmati sou" (And with thy spirit.)

"THOksa see, kee-ree-eh, THOksa see." (Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee.)

You can hear these words by following this link [goarch.org].

There's a start, anyway.
