I would certainly agree as well.

I've attended really good ,well done Liturgies in RC Churches and others that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and my toes curl in horror.

I've attended good Liturgies in Anglican/Episcopal Churches too - and again some horrors.

So much depends on the Priest [ and his Bishop ]

Sadly it has to be said - there are rotten apples in every barrel - even in EC barrels I'm sure

Christ is Risen!! Indeed He is Risen!!

This thread has gone wildly off topic from the initial post about Bishop Gene Robinson's plan to "crash" the Lambeth Conference to uncharitable comments about Liturgy in the Latin Church and some uncharitable comments about the people in the PECUSA.

I have asked the administrators to review this thread.

In Christ,

Both the admin and I have reviewed this thread and concur with Theophan. This thread is hereby closed.

Also, the rules of charity not only towards fellow posters but to others in general has been stretched to the limits here. Posters that want to engage in this type of post will have their posting privileges reviewed and pulled if this type of posting continues.

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai
