Hello to all!!
It's been a long time since I last logged into the forum due to various circumstances, so I think I shall re-introduce myself to all.
My name's Bernardo, Im a lawyer in Mexico City (though I spend quite some time in Texas for business and family reasons), I was born Roman Catholic but have been attending the Melkite Church for around 6 years now. I'm reader and chantor in my Parish and Im studying to be a sub-deacon (first and then God will tell).
Well, I'm back home here at the forum to learn from all of you and to contribute with whatever I can.
God bless.
Bernardo

Can you post some pictures of your parish? I'd love to see it.

Bernardo, my brother,
It is so very good to see a post from you again, my friend. I've been wondering about you and how things were in Mexico since Father Archimandrite Gabriel has been commuting from Florida to serve the community.
Many years,
Neil

Bernardo, my brother,

Many years,
Neil My Dear brother! Thank you for your message and all your support. Things have been improving since Father Archimandrite Gabriel was appointed our Exarch. We have a permanent priest (Father Mathew Alejo, you may know him) and have gone back to "normal life" somehow. Father Archimandrite Gabriel has lot of plans for the Melkite Church in Mexico, and some of them we are already starting to put in action, like making ourselves known, creating a firm parish community (which is being quite a task). Also, and as I mentioned in my post to Byzantine TX, Father Ghanoum has decided to make some changes in the parish, to be much more traditional; as you know our parish was originally a Latin parish built on the 1500's so we have to obtain authorizations from different authorities for being a national monument, but so far so good. Again, thank you all for your warm welcome!! Is good to be back home! God bless. Bernardo

Howdy Terry!!!
Usually I move between San Antonio, Austin and Dallas. Lately we have started to visit Houston for business matters.

Howdy!
My wife and I vacation in San Antonio once in a while. Last time we discovered a beautiful place for rest walking around Our Lady of the Lake University.
