Jack,

I live in the DC area and every year I wish I could attend. However, I am not able to justify the cost of the event - not as much the actual price of the event as the time it takes away from work. I have my own small business and it would be difficult to take four days off to attend. Usually I must use my vacation days for visiting family in Ohio.

Actually, I would be interested in possibly attending one of the days, but I didn't see that as an option.

Francis,

I'm sorry it's not more clear in our material. For local folks like you, we DO have both a day-only option, and an evening only option. They day-only may sound expensive ($150) but that includes three meals, the conference proceedings, space rental, and coverage for the speakers travel & living costs. The evening-only rate is $25/night but does not include dinner (except this year it does on Tues at the Armenian Church we are visiting). The detailed agenda PDF on the website gives the schedule and speakers by specific time so you can plan when to attend.

Jack,

Thanks for letting me know. The online registration only seems to offer the full package. How would I go about registering for just Tuesday (the 17th)?

Francis,

Sorry, that was an oversight when we set up the online registration this year. You can either download the registration form and fax it in, or call the conference office at 703-691-8862 and just register over the phone.

Our apologies that the day and evening options are not available online. I'll see how fast I can get that fixed!

Thanks, Jack. I just faxed in my single-day registration, and I'm trying to get a friend to come that day as well.

Michael,

Thanks for pointing this out. We've fixed the problem -- the web hosting folks were migrating websites from one server location to another, and our site had a technical glitch in their automatic migration. We have to do it manually now. But they've put the site back up and operational in the meantime.

Thanks,
Jack
