I know that corporations use cutting edge math research to maximize thier combined profits.
I've been studying Nash Equalibrium after watching the movie Beautiful Mind about John Nash. I see how industrys like the tobacco industry and probably the porn industry can use cutting edge mathematics to advance thier agendas by cooperation.
I was wondering if religion and the spiritual groups involved are doing anything simular. Does anyone have anything to say about this? I have noted how materalism is displacing religion in this world as the majority of the population spiritually degrades. My agenda is to see religion displace materalism in this world. I have applied math to religions in my research.

I'm not sure what yourt asking.
If its to do wiht profit margins and an attemot to use blanket sales by mathematical mobled, Religion doens't work that way. Religion is basiclaly the same as harity, and offered universlaly to all, in an attemto to reform all, even the most dire of the sinful.
Market sales woudl be focused only on targets already desirous of them.
So not sure hwo that'd work.
If not market-share than Im not sure what you mean.
I doubt Porn viewers are watchign whilst doign complexe calculaitosn on the plot. I also doubt porn films ar emade by those who write the scritprs on Mathematical equations.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not talking about simple math and basic algerba that they teach in high school.
Big business and government use some rather advanced stuff in thier planning. Nash Equalibrium theory for example focuses on different entities all making best moves for the individual because the focus is the group. In the movie one example was 5 single men in a bar who want sex. There are also 5 single young women. If each man goes after the one very attractive woman they all get rejected by miss Attractive, so they then go after the other women. No woman wants to be 2nd choice and the men get rejected again. But if the attractive woman is ignored the men all get what they want. It is like companies in an industry in competition. If the focus is on what is best for the industry above the single companies, they all prosper. There are advanced math systems that big business use. As religion in general dosen't use simular systems, different sects large and small cancel each other out as they get displaced by materalism. Mathematics is very powerful. Ignoring math power is like all religion rejecting the use of electric and battery power.
If all religious groups in the world were to work together to keep more interest in religion, materalism would decline and vocations would be very common.

Yes, but . . . (I'm a Ph.D. economist, well grounded in game theory). That was a great movie. I even used that scene to open my economics classes, without speaking a word (I'd cue it, leave the room, and kill the lights and hit play. Wonderful consternation, leaving the class off balance and me setign the agenda and tempo. It doesn't show the Nash Equilibrium, though The NE in that case is actually that all go for the Blond . . . even though they would all be better off if all went for Brunettes . . . hawk

The same math laws that drive global economics can be used to advance global religion. And should be used.
I'm an amatuar mathematician with a focus on philosophical mathematics.

Psychologist generally agree that it is the same part of the brain which controls both math and music skills. The theory goes that the better you develop your math skills, the better your music skills will become - and of course - vice versa. Student who learn music and practice to become better musicians or singers, will also do better at math - and of course - vice versa. Those students who do well in math, generally do well in their other courses because math is considered to be the 'building block' of 'Analytical Thinking'. Analytical thought is one of the keys to success in the business world and life in general.
In conclusion - Parents, have your children join their church choir and you will ensure their success in life.

As a musician with advanced degrees, I can assure you that being able to do math does not equate to liking it. Oh, I can do it - I even took graduate statistics courses in college - but I hate it. It doesn't interest me at all. Apologies to J.S. Bach who loved both music and math.

The point I'm trying to make is using the same advanced math that big business uses to advance religious international agenda. Most people reading this won't understand what I'm talking about. There are some ideas in math that most people don't know exist. I'm not talking about arithmetic, algerba, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, calculus, or advanced calculus. There are proven math patterns for making decisions, planning, timing, and advancing common agendas. Materalist big business use this to advance thier agendas. This often is at the expence of the common people and the global religious agenda. As we have intelectuals in Christ who are talented in math we should work to advance what is important in this world. It is nice to have intelectual lives apart from the masses who are being spiritually displaced by materalistic agendas, but it is our responsibility to do something about it.

I can see where advanced analytical math can help prioritize resources, but then wouldn't that be more useful when vast quantities of capital are shifted around than with small-fry operations? I can't see how this would dramatically help small or medium sized non-profits.
Too many redactions and assumptions would have to be made for the model to assist evangelization. Faith is a matter of the soul. To assure good-soul retention or a conversion, each lost soul would have to be uniquely receptive to and moved by grace.
The soul is not a function, we have yet to receive the breath of SUM.

I would agree that we often don't use the tools available to us for spreading the faith.
