Shlomo Matta,

Yes Fr. Francis is Sicilian. Here is the website:

Our Lady Of Wisdom [ourladyofwisdom.net]. The phone is 702-873-5101. The new e-mail is OLOWIS@embarq.com. Because there is no eparchy for the Italo-Greek Albanian Church here, Our Lady is part of the Byzantine Eparchy of Van Nuys.

A couple of weeks ago, I took a young lady who is pregnant to have Fr. bless her and the baby, but he keeps forgetting that Maronites do not use the Byzantine Liturgy, and got a little upset that I did not know the proper response. He even gave me last year an Akathist of Our Lady, and again got upset with me when I told him that we do not use this as part of our Holy Tradition.

I hope the above helps.

Poosh BaShlomo,
Yuhannon

Father is Sicilian and Greco-Italo-Albanian.

He is the head of his rite in the U.S.

His parish is part of the BC Eparchy of Van Nuys, and generally identifies itself as BC.

Until a year or two ago, he was the state chaplain for the KofC.

He is also the past chancellor of the RC Diocese of Las Vegas, and I believe that he's about to take that office again.

He does have latin biritual faculties. He offered to handle a Tridentine liturgy at a parish, but no altar boys could be found willing to trainn.

I haven't met him, but I assume I will in a few weeks when I'm there as part of a KofC honor guard when Bishop Gerald visits.

Thank you (e grazie!) one and all for the information.
We didn't get much music on time, so we had to put the Italian words to the Greek melodies we use from our tradition. A lot of last minute work for the choir and psaltes, but worth it.

I've passed all the contact details on to our priest.

Are there any audio files of the Divina Liturgia di San Giovanni Crisostomo available? I've been learning Italian for almost 5 years, and I love the Byzantine tradition. It would be cool to mix both and be able to hear it.

Alaha minokhoun,
Andrew
