Elenor, a dear friend, wants to know love.

That may sound a bit odd, but she has gone through two marriages. One a divorce, but the other was through death. Both men, tried to kill her several times.

Elenor is an amazing woman. She nursed her last husband, who was a surgical nurse, through drug addiction and on into serious health issues where she had to give him total care. This was even though he had tried to kill her, cheated on her, and abused her verbaly and physically.

On the front lines of the abortion clinics - well Elenor was the one Catholic who broke through the Protestant lines - she is a stallwart out there. She will walk right up to a young girl and without wincing say something like - do you know you are really going to kill your baby. She can be just that point blank. She is of Spanish heritage, and has turned many women around from going for an abortion.

Also, she is a woman of amazing faith. Her great-grandaughter while in her mothers womb - was totally retarded and mal-formed, I don't know how else to say it. The doctors wanted the baby aborted.

Elenor told her daughter and grand-daugher no. To get her to a priest to be annointed and prayed for, then to get her to prayer meeting for prayer. We prayed here, all over Birmingham prayer went up.

You see, the babies heart was full of holes. The diapharm was out of the body, allowing the intestines to be out, which through everything else out of place. Fingers were missing and toes. The baby was floating in it's own wastes. There was no hope. BUT ELENOR BELIEVED!

As the months went on, the pictures began to change while the baby was in the womb. When they saw the diaphram in place where it belonged, they could not understand When she went for delivery, there were 27 doctors(seriously) ready for the baby to do whatever was needed.

You know what was wrong with her when she was born?
She was jaundice!

The doctors said well there must have been something wrong with the machines and the x-rays

When President Bush was out in California the first time. This little one who is now 16, played the piano for him, a classic piece at that.

I tell you all of this, because this awesome woman of God, wants to know the love of God.

I know, I know, but folks, I believe she is a living saint. She wants to understand and feel for once in her life the love of God.

So please pray!

Dear Pani Rose,

I don't understand..because God's love for Elenor was manifest when He miraculously cured her great granddaughter!

God's love was manifest through her compassion and zeal to do the right thing in all situations.

However, if she is having moments of doubt, which we all have at one time or antoher in our lives, all she needs to do is to tell Him, and to ask Him to show her His love. He never fails to answer these knocks on His door...

In Christ,
Alice, who prays that Elenor will knock

Alice, she is really struggling with the defination of love. I think she is equating human love in some sence with God's love.
Having been married all those years, but not really having a 'comforting' relationship, just wanting to know what human trust and love is. Hope that helps a little.

My heart goes out to Elenor - experiencing the loneliness of feeling abondoned by God is heartbreaking. Even when we knock for what may seems year after year, God is showering His graces on us and waiting for our surrendering an open heart to His Presence. My prayers are with Elenor - please Pani Rose PM me if you have an update.
