I am requesting prayers from all of you for my "coming home" to the Byzantine Church. I am meeting with the Pastor of the local Ukrainian church in a couple of weeks as he is on vacation.

I have journeyed much since I had a radical conversion to Christianity in the early nineties. I have bounced from either church to church within a denomination or just from denomination to denomination.

I have spent most of that time as an Evangelical. There are many wonderful things I have learned and received from them: my love for Scripture, not being fearful to evangelize the faith, and in learning what it means to have a deep relationship with the Lord.

I have never felt at home anywhere in all of this jumping around. There was always something missing. Earlier on in my walk with the Lord, I never would've dreamed of entering the church of my Father that I was exposed to as a child.

I have spent all of these years serving Evangelical ministries and I even work for one now. It is about time I come home. It was shortly after I received a rosary and exposure to Sr. Faustina's Divine Mercy prayers I felt the "tugging" to go East. The prayer is mercy based and also gave me exposure to venerating an icon. The direction of the Lord became clearer and clearer. I ask for all you to pray for me and my wife as we continue our journey. I hope I will be the servant and example in our new church as the Lord has allowed me to be in the past.

God Bless you for your prayers,

Walter

Dorothy had it right. There's no place like home. Prayers for you as you return to the east.

Prayers for your and your wife's spiritual journey
