Dear Anhelyna,

It took HOW many posts on a previous thread about blessed kielbasa to get four men to agree to meet at a set point?!?! wink *WINK*

Let's hope that there are no food calamities and that all goes well!

I am sure that you will be as anxious to see the photos as I will be! cool

Wishing our brothers a good time...(and I won't ruin their day by reminding them that tomorrow starts the Dormition Fast on the new calendar for us 'Eastern'ers! )eek *EEK* eek

(I am sure that one of our forum priests, knowing how hard it was to get them to agree on a place and date, will grant them dispensation for the day) smile

If there are no photos, strong words will be typed laugh

What really worries me is the fact that four men are going off on a picnic - the mind boggles at the organisational problems .

Dormition Fast - hope they remember to pack the dark Chocolate and beer - sorry - liquid bread biggrin

charcoal, lighter fluid, matches, paper plates, plastic silverware, napkins (lots), condiments, side dishes, garbage bags, ice, drinks, ice water, buns, kielbassa, sauerkraut

What about some other meat for those who don't like kielbassa--yes, I know of one who doesn't and it isn't me.

If I know how many are coming, I'll pick up two sides and make a tossed salad.

ALICE:

Actually this is a good lesson for all the members here. It's a "teaching moment."

If there is so much talk needed and so many posts needed to get a "kielbassa throwdown" together, how much more will it take to get the Churches into communion? smile

Due to a unseen provision in the process we have decided to postpone the picnic until an undetermined date. Thank you for your interest and to all those who were going to come, please come to the rescheduled picnic when we have a date set!

With gratitude and fortitude,

Alexandr:

Glory be to Jesus Christ!! Glory be to Him forever and ever!!

300 pounds? whistle

Who were we feeding? The Russian army? Maybe half the Slavic population of a small city? LOL

May the good Lord bless your generosity and commitment to making this.

Yeah Alex, there were 4 of us, with 300 and 3 pounds of kielbasa.

I guess we'll have to start putting on our winter weight, and just suck it up and eat it all!

Would that be the blood sausage that Frankie Yankovic sings about in his song "Who stole the Kishka", tak?
