All are welcome.
The theme is Slavic foods.

Anyone who wishes is welcome to attend Vespers at St. Vladimir Orthodox Church at 6pm which is about 15 minutes from Reservoir Park.

We are counting on those who are attending to bring food items/drink items.

Thank you!

smile Italian sausage from Ireland.

Jim: "Gee this is smashing Italian sausage from where did you get this?"
Marc: "we got the Italian sausage from Ireland"

And I'm hungry on top of it. They need to build some sort of concord to Dublin type flight then you could bring it right over.

Maybe star wars still has some of those 'teletransporters' they used. Then you could just transport him and the sausage. biggrin

Father Serge would always be a welcome guest. Now if we could just get the "teletransporter" to get him while he was standing next to a keg of Guiness. smile

So I went to Kowalonek's and bought 5 pounds of kilbo -- 2 fresh and 3 smoked. I already ate a smoked... oh my it was good -- I'll bring the other ring for sure. And I've got 2 of the fresh left - I just boiled up one ring... amazing!

Unfortunately, I ate all of the kilbo jerky -- yes, they make kielbasy jerky.

I'll try to get some pickles made too!

I'm in for vespers, too.

Wish I could be there - Guinness and all! Funny you should mention that; my house was originally built (with many others) to provide dwellings for the Guinness employees. They've long since moved elsewhere, and the houses nowadays are owner-occupied.

So come to Ireland for a picnic; we'll have a blast!

An t-athair,

Only if we get some blood sausage to compare to kiska!

OK, I'll come anyway if there's a party, but a kiska/blood sausage taste off would be pretty awesome, too.

I so much regret not being able to come. If this happens again next year, I will definitely be there.

Many years,

Neil

I can pick up some kielbasa, but they like to slice it really thin and serve it cold.

LOL laugh laugh Are you sure you'll be able to get the kielbassa to the picnic? Sounds like it's too good to travel any distance with.

I may be able to if I get over to the store to get it. I'll just put it in a cooler. If I don't have a Domilsean incident and eat half of it before the picnic smile

OP:

How will we compare kielbassa offerings if all that manages to get to the picnic is the potato salad and baked beans?
