Has anyone heard of any married seminarians going to any of the Byzantine Catholic seminaries? I need to ask to be sure but I could swear a friend of mine mentioned knowing some Byz Cath seminarians at at least one of the Orthodox seminaries up north. I wondered if there were any at actual Catholic seminaries who are aiming for the priesthood.

Why not call the seminaries and ask that way you could get an exact answer.

Someone from the UGCC can better answer this, but I seem to recollect that the Ukrainians had made available accomodations for married seminarians.

Many years,

Hate to stereotype here but its best if you check with Ukrainian-established groups. They would have more married priests than you'll ever imagine.

Try the Greek-Catholic seminary in Hungary. Celibacy is not stylish in that Eparchy!

If I'm not mistaken, the UGCC Metropolitan in Philadelphia has made accomodations for married seminarians at the UGCC seminary in Washington, D.C.

SS Cyryl & Methodius in Pittsburgh has (or at least had) at least a couple.
