If the workers feel that the union has not represented their interests, they may have the following options, among others: 1) vote against contract ratification, 2) do not ratify any contract by this bargaining unit, 3) start a decertification drive for this bargaining unit. #3 does not preclude them from being represented by another union in the future. At this plant anyway, they have the numbers to do this if they really desire it

For the remainder of us who disagree with this contract, it is simple... stop purchasing anything from Tyson, regardless of where it is made. Money talks.

What if, hypothetically, the plant in question had a lot of Russians and Ukrainians working there, and decided to make January 7th a paid holiday?

Many Armenians have moved into Glendale and in Pasadena, and so in those two school districts and in several others, the school children get a long Christmas break from around December 24 to January 6. They return to school on January 7 or 8.

Many companies give the Armenians a day off on January 6 too, of course, many companies are owned by Armenians.

At least it would be a Christian holiday. This caving into every whim of a few to be "politically correct" has to stop. But guess what..It will keep going and going and going.... crazy
