We can't forget their human dignity, but that does not mean they have an inviolable right to penetrate our boarders with no heed to lawful civility.
Forgive my asking, but who are these "boarders" and from whom are the "boarders" under threat?
I can just remember an elderly lady in New York - she was some sort of distant relative of mine - who in her youth had run a boarding house mostly for people from County Cavan in Ulster. For decades after the boarding house closed, Mrs. Duffin was still the central contact for the one-time boarders and their friends and relatives in Ireland and in the USA. I don't remember that anyone was threatening the boarders - and that's the only boarding house with which I've ever had even the slightest connection.
