Been gone for a while...hello to everyone...

Let's see, changes...I'm a grandma and the mom of a National Guardsman, and I'm finally a junior at UNC -Chapel Hill...

Thank you Pani...I've missed you, and you as well Alice....
One of the reasons I was gone for so long was due to a broken link in my favorites list...it took a while for me to track down the forum again, mostly because I would think of doing so and something would come up. Then two things happened that told me I had to get back in here...

First, I get my art history textbook and the Vladamar Theotokos is on the front cover....I think I can safely say I am the only person in class who kisses her textbook before she puts it away..

Second, I have to pick a topic for my art history research project and after much deliberation, I decided on Icons (we are doing ancient to medieval art history, almost everyone in the class, and there are over 300 of us, is doing either Egypt or Greece...I went with what I know).

To be honest, we've not been to Church in a while...a long while. Changes in the parish that I am not comfortable with, gas prices and lack of a second car(our younger son needs ours to get to work and see his baby) have added to make it difficult. Something about that text book, and the choices for my art project, seem to be telling me, time to get back to the real world...real world for me being the world of my faith, if that makes any sense.

Well....again, good to be back...thanks for the welcome.

Actually, I re-located the link when I went to another Byzantine webpage...the problem wasn't just the broken link though, the problem was me pulling back into my own little world...but it got boring there.
