In many churches, the cry room doubles as the bride's room, but yes, that could be a problem. However, some churches even let the bride use the choir loft women's robe area.

on the altar area what does the word lav. mean on the little closet that is behind the altar table?

OP,
If you note, there is a wall back there and the vestment area is behind the wall (I don't know if Eastern Catholics use the word sacristy, but that's what it would be called in a Latin Church.) I'm pretty sure you know that that's a WC or a restroom. wink
