Then what you are saying is that men can not be guided by the Holy Spirit.

Dear Father Anthony I ask for your blessing:

Yes men can be guided by the Holy Spirit but he has to let the Holy Spirit work in their lives. On the other hand the Holy Spirit has been operative in my life through no good of my own so I guess I am just angry, frustrated by what I perceive as the lack of progress. I don't think I would be where I am today if the Holy Spirit hadn't been nudging and guiding me. My apologies for an abrupt manner.

Patience I am afraid has never been one of my virtues.

In Christ:

Remember, everything is possible in God's time and in His time alone. Until then, remember patience is a virtue, and a virtue that will lead to a meaningful reunion.

In IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

While I am not a particular fan of the group that provides this site, they do offer the most comprehensive pan-Orthodox news service online.

I've been combing all the Catholic websites, including the Vatican's, but has failed to get a publicized schedule of interventions at the world Synod of Bishops.

It's quite possible that His All Holiness, EP Bartholomew, will speak at the tail end or near the closing of this Synod.

Dear Alice:

You might have cited the "wrong" Synod but I believe the proceedings in that Phanar meeting is relevant to these discussions.

The Orthodox hierarchs in attendance have agreed to set in motion a possible world Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church next year or in 2010.

And, perhaps, EP Bartholomew has been asking/getting some important pointers from his fellow Orthodox hierarchs for his scheduled intervention at the on-going (Catholic) world Synod of Bishops.

We dare to hope?

Amado

During my meeting with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on May 4th, when we were planning the next Orientale Lumen Conference for Constantinople on July 5-8, 2010, he indicated that he was very much looking forward to his intervention at the Catholic Synod of bishops scheduled for October 18th. So I imagine he will be speaking sometime that day.

Dear Jack:

You have met with His-All Holiness? What an honor to meet a Patriarch and work with him. You are so blessed.

Christ is in our midst!! He is and always will be!!

Has anyone read, or can anyone point the way to a text of His All-Holiness' intervention?

Thanks.

I've copied this to spend some more time with it. What a vision!! How small my own realization and understanding, commitment and living out of the Faith.

I know this is a little off topic but does anyone know when the next session of the Catholic orthodox dialogue is ?
