Shlomo Lkhoolkhoon, Haaretz [ haaretzdaily.com] is reporting that "Israel will give the Holy See possession of the Coenaculum, or the Room of the Last Supper (also known as the Upper Room or the Cenacle), on Mount Zion. In exchange, Israel is to gain control of a 12th-century synagogue in Toledo, Spain, which is currently the Santa Maria la Blanca Church, says the Times of London. I went to that synagogue in Toledo.
It was nice and all, but I'd trade the Cenacle for that little thing any day!

This is interesting, because either inside or right outside of the Cenacle is the tomb of David.
Amazing! Here we have the room of the Last Supper, David's tomb and a Gothic hall built by the crusaders, all together. As the late Pope said, time just stands still here.

I posted this breaking news way back on October 20 (See thread on "Cenacle" below) and nobody seemed to have noticed, except Memo!  Why? This involves an older "relic" than the 3rd or 4th century Church recently discovered in Armageddon! And this is where the Sacraments of the Eucharist and of Holy Orders were instituted by Our Lord, Jesus Christ! Amado

I don't think the Latin Church venerates King David as a saint, although we have 5 saints by that name.
Ditto for Pilate.

David is a Patriarch of the Catholic faith only new testament figures and after are deemed saints. Anyways seems like a great trade no European church outisde of Italy and the Marian shrines is worth keeping in exchange for the site of the Last Supper. What a place to hold mass for the Fanciscans? I hope they get first dibs on the place.

Christ is among us!
St. David, forefather of God, patriarch, prophet and king is certainly commemorated by Byzantine Christians, BOTH CATHOLIC AND ORTHODOX, as a Saint. It is also true that ROMAN CATHOLICS do NOT commemorate Old Testament persons as saints, but Eastern Catholics certainly do!
About giving the site of the Last Supper to the Franciscans for use, perhaps that should happen only AFTER the Franciscans renegoiate the agreement that bans Byzantine Catholics and other Eastern Catholics from using the Church of the Resurrection (the site of the Resurrection and Calvary). Then my Byzantine Catholic friends should considor the return of the UPPER ROOM to be fruitful.

What Constantine didn't get things right the first time around?
Evangelicals are getting even more ridiculous first they deny we have the authentic sights for Jesus burial, ressurrectiona and crucifision and have made their own Garden Tomb and crucifision spots now we have all the other spots wrong as well. Well I guess their rejection of catholic tradition is complete now.

Don't be too critical! Remember that they perceive parts of our worship as being pagan...(which of course they were taken from). But then again it was a Greco pagan world, and had these pagan customs not been adapted, Christianity would not exist today.
Oh for the day when we can see the blessings of others, and not perceive things as being right only from what we ourselves do.
The Evangelicals and all Protestants know that the crusifixion and resurrection of Christ were outside the walls of Jerusalem. They found a spot, but it is a wrong spot. The walls surrounding the city of Jerusalem then were not exactly where they are now....so, today the Church of the Holy Sepulcher with the tomb, etc. falls within the walls rather than outside of the walls.
I guess they don't consider Constantine a saint...nor his mother Saint Helen. But then again, the Evangelicals believe that all devout people are saints...which in a sense they are.
