Well, as we all know he never really left, but it is interesting that the day after Obama is elected that the Russians start leaking info that the President's term could be extended to 6 years and that Medvedev may resign soon. I've been saying for months that the biggest winner of an Obama presidency is Putin.

In a fight between a man with a black belt in judo who is a former KGB officer vs. a person who the only gun he's ever fired is a staple gun into a telephone pole, yeah it concerns me to say the least.....

Russia may see Obama as a weak president. I would be surprised if their opinion is isolated. We may see movements in Iran against Israel or China against Taiwan. Their ambitions may be fulfilled with an Obama administration.

Monomakh,

Would you prefer our President-Elect to be a whiz with an AK-47?

I'm to the point of nearly gagging every time I even hear of Putin. I imagine many on this board feel the same way about President-Elect Obama! wink

I'm sick neither of hearing of former president Putin nor of president-elect Obama.

I did see president-elect Obama on the front of Men's Fitness when I was at the grocery store earlier today. I'm not sure what he's doing there. From what I have read, he is a smoker. Cigarettes, coffee, and stress can easily keep the weight off of anybody. Or cookies, cake, soda, and stress can easily pack the weight on. smirk

Dr. Eric,

He gave up smoking a couple of years ago, in fact.

I read that President-Elect Obama still does when under stress, and that is one of the things he would like to change about himself.

But he is the agent of change. If he changes, then the world will collapse.

Alexis,

I had an itch for a one liner and an absurd argument.
