Don't these type of people who conceive in any unnatural and shocking way as they can, ever think of the poor child's feelings?!? Science may have made possible a sexual and reproductive freak circus for the world to engage in, (buying anonymous sperm, donor eggs, creating embryos, etc.) but what of the innocent offspring? Lord have mercy!

US 'pregnant man' expecting again

Thomas Beatie, the US "pregnant man" who gave birth to a daughter in June, is expecting his second child.

The 34-year-old made the announcement in a television interview with Barbara Walters of ABC News.

Mr Beatie was born female but underwent gender reassignment and is now legally male. He kept his female reproductive organs so he could have a family.

The baby was due in early June, he told the TV host. He felt good and everything was going well.

"I had my checkups with my hormone level... everything is right on track," he said,

Thomas Beatie grew up in Hawaii as Tracy Lagondin, but began to live as a man when he was in his twenties.

He had breast surgery to remove glands and flatten his chest but kept his female reproductive organs.

He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for five years and the couple bought sperm from a donor when they decided to start a family.

Mr Beatie gave birth to their baby daughter, Susan, the natural way, after a lengthy labour.

After the birth, he told Ms Walters, he did not resume taking male hormones because the couple wanted to have another baby.

The couple's second child is due on 12 June.

I happened to see this report this morning on the news whilst I was attempting to eat my breakfast - and I very nearly threw up in consequence.

Next, no doubt, this character will appear on the Jerry Springer show.

UGH!

At least they're choosing life. Would you rather the baby be aborted?

Given that they went to great lengths and expense to use donor sperm to achieve, via in vitro fertilization, this pregnancy (and the previous one) I seriously doubt that "choosing life" as in considering abortion was ever an issue.

I would rather than this woman (she is not a man no matter what she looks like or how many female organs she has removed) not be flaunting her total disregard for the natural law and pushing in our faces as if it was "miraculous" (there's very little miraculous about a woman being pregnant in the sense that they promote this) and wonderful.

This is a ridiculous statement. Of course Fr Serge is not in favour of killing a child. He very legitimately expresses his shock at the utter absurdity of a woman rejecting the sex given her by God, mutilating her body and wanting all to recognise her as a male, 'marrying' another woman, and then deliberately bringing two innocent children into her and her lesbian lover's demented world view. This is sick. And it is time for people to say that the Emperor has no clothes. But once a child is conceived it has an absolute right not to have its life cut short by abortion. In a sane world these two children, however, would be given to psychologically normal heterosexual married couple to raise.

Wow, David this is so totally offbase that I really believe that you owe Father Serge an apology.

This has nothing to do with a couple accidentally conceiving a child!

Rather, as Carole said, they went to great *intentional* lengths of the discomfort of *medical intervention* to conceive this child whose biological father is: *donated sperm * ...and whose birth father/mother is a woman/man lesbian.

There is so much sin from the Christian point of view in all this that one does not know where to start.

How sad to *deliberately* do this, and to humilitate an innocent child by forcing it be part of your warped life. How sad to create a human life from anonymous sperm (I can think of nothing sicker and more sinful than being a sperm donor ) in order to validate your warped life and to satisfy your own personal gratification to give birth--though in every other way you have chosen to be a man.

How sad for a child to know that not only are they a part of a freak situation, but that their real father, whose genes they have inherited, has been reduced to anonymous sperm.

FATHER DAVID:

Father bless!!

Allow me to echo your well-put comments. I thought I was the only one sitting and staring into space and wondering what kind of world we lived in. I have to wonder about the medical "ethics" of mutilating a human being "on demand"--what else do we have the secularists tell us should be this way?!

I believe it's past time for the real Christians to step up and say what you have said, "The Emperor has no clothes." What is medically possible is not necessarily good for anyone involved. I, too, wonder about what kind of damage will be done to the souls of the two children involved.

In Christ,

BOB

He/she is already beyond the tabloid-type Jerry Springer show; he was interview by the "respectable" mainline ABC Newswoman Barbara Walters!

Father, I see how this would ruin your breakfast!

Dear Father Serge,

One must be very, very careful these days about having breakfast whilst watching or reading the news!

That is why I titled the thread, as a warning of sorts: 'Utterly Revolting'.
