Just spotted this little article. Sad commentary to the state of things.

Perhaps they should have just had a sign that reads: "Религия - это опиум для народа"

That should be Russian for "Religion is the opiate of the people," I believe it was chiseled at the top of some buildings.

The Julian Calendar may be scientifically inaccurate but it is not atheistic.

Atheists are the most illogical people on the planet.

To say that there is no God in all of the Universe, one must know ALL of the Universe. If a person was to know ALL of the Universe, he would be Omniscient. But only God is Omniscient, that is one of the things that makes Him God. Therefore, the only true atheist would have to be God.

Illogical.

Anselm's second proof didn't really prove that god existed--but it does prove that anything that can be shown not to exist is not God.

Did I use St. Anselm's Second Proof? I got that one from Professor Peter Kreeft.

No, but there's shades of it in yours.

Anselm's second proof defined God as that than which no greater can be conceived. As existing is greater than not existing, that which does not exist isn't God.
