Is there a way to add an image NOT in the avatar selection as your profile picture?
When did the previous allowance change?

The policy has been in place for over two years now. This was necessitated by the abuse of this privilege by some posters with oversized and inappropriate avatars. Any special request now must be made with the link to the desired image to the admin (John) for consideration and approval.
