Folks,

I humbly ask for your prayers for two colleagues of mine. A colleague who works with me, Barbara, went into the hospital this morning with chest pains. I just spoke to her and she is doing okay. They are doing tests on her but there is a good chance that there may be some issue with her heart (artery blockage, etc.).

Also, please pray for Emily. Emily is home with liver failure and is on her death bed. I've tried to get in touch with her but each time I've called she has been indisposed. Nevertheless, I'm going to speak with her family and see when a good time would be to visit her. I do not know how much time she has. Hospice care was called to her home just before Christmas. My hunch is that she has perhaps a few weeks left but not much more.

Thank you for your prayers.

And I'll add that both of these women are very devout Christians, praise be to God. So I know that they will appreciate your prayers as well.

Prayers for Barbara, that she recover quickly and be granted many years.

Prayers also for Emily, that she not suffer and that she be at peace.

Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your servant Babara from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant her patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your servant Babara and grant to her the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, Jesus Christ, Who suffered and died for our sins that we may live, if during our life we have sinned in word, deed or thought forgive us in Your goodness and love. All our hope we put in You; protect your servant Emily from all evil. We submit to Your will and into Your hands we commend our souls and bodies. For a Christian end to our lives, peaceful, without shame and suffering, and for a good account before the awesome judgment seat of Christ, we pray to you O Lord. Bless us, be merciful to us and grant us life eternal. Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Barbara had a 90% blockage in an artery. It has now been taken care of and she is fine. She says she has never felt better!

My friend Emily has been told she has about 6 months to live, but she seems to be at peace.

God bless you all.
