Thanks to Bishop Skurla, Father Untereiner, and Father Frank at St. John's in Trumbull--I am finally a Byzantine Catholic after many years of canonical red tape, lol!

Congratulations! And as someone who has gone through this very process recently, I understand the "red tape"! Welcome home.

Stormshadow:I didn't encounter "red tape" when I wanted to change from the Latin rite to Ukrainian Catholic in 1987 .
LET ME RELATE MY EXPERIENCE.

I encountered "oh,we seem to have misplaced that file" from the Chancery for almost two years.

The Metropolitan's assistant telephoned me one day and asked me to come see His Grace in his office.I knew His Grace was taking Italian lessons at he time,so I wasn't too surprised when he said to me when we met:"Basta, enough of this story that they can't find the papers .Tom,you are now of our rite!!"

I didn't say what I was thinking out of respect ,but I thought:"BRAVO,finalmente!"

BTW:The best 22 years of my life
