"For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument -- that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. -- very seriously. Now he's found an eager audience: Russian state media..." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123051100709638419.html

Aha, the "North-Central American Republic" would become "The Obama Republic!" I don't want to be Canadian! On the other hand, "The Texas Republic" would certainly be re-named "The Bush Republic!" And, the "The Atlantic Republic" would be a fight between "The Kennedy Republic" and "The Gotham Republic!" Add your own . . . Amado

Shalom, Memo Memo: Don't look now but your Governor Terminator might annex California to Austria and revive the Austrian portion of the Empire! Amado

Well, if that end does split off, then the Governator can finally become a President or King or whatever...

I would think that Arizona would join up with Mexico over China.

What do you mean 2010? It is already here with the election of a liberal leftist socialistic government. We can only weep and more with the passing of our nation! Stephanos I

America is in serious economic trouble, but so is everyone else mentioned. The El Paso Times ran an article this month that mentioned that the Defense Department and the Governor's office in Texas have discussed the collapse of Mexico. Labor tensions are mounting throughout Europe, and Russia is experiencing internal problems as well.
We once had a very high standard of living in this country, but that's disappearing as we turn Globalist and send our last jobs overseas.

It seems to have missed some people but President Bush had his people running around the world signing up country after country with mutual trade agreements that forced other countries to open up to the USA, or run the risk of America as a market being harder to get into.

I see the USA becoming more like 50 seperate "country states" with the National government only responsible for protection. The only thing is I don't know which state we would go to as Pennsylvania would be tooooo liberal because of Philly.

I would think that Arizona would join up with Mexico over China. I would expect Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico, at the least, in some sort of confederation. Maybe even Utah, but I doubt it. Hmm, Wyoming & Montana would be likely, too. Texas would waffle between joining and going its own way. hawk

I see the USA becoming more like 50 seperate "country states" with the National government only responsible for protection. This would not be a new phenomenon. Until the War Between the States, the term "United States" was treated as grammatically plural. It was not until later that the term came to be treated as singular. The overpowering influence of the federal government is a relatively recent innovation. Call me a state's rights wacko, but I grind my teeth in unholy emotions every time I hear some pundit in the media say, "It is unfair that you can do such-and-such in state X, but if you cross the border into state Y it is illegal." That is supposed to be the point of a federal government. If the pundit wants everything to be the same, he should go find himself a national government somewhere.
