The ceremonies which took place on March 25, 2009, on the site of the former Nazi concentration camp of Majdanek, Poland, as part of marking the 65th anniversary of the death of Blessed Martyr Fr. Emilian Kowcz found resonance in the mass-media in Ukraine and Poland. TV, radio, print and electronic media on the air and in columns told about the example of Christian life and ministry of the priest of the UGCC who, according to the words of His Beatitude Lubomyr, being the son of one nation, perished on the territory of another nation because he saved the lives of sons and daughters of yet another nation.
