I am sorry if this is offensive. This is a really genuine question. I am not trying to start a fight here, but is it entirely appropriate to refer to Bishop Lubomyr as Patriarch?

His Church calls him a Patriarch. Who am I to argue with them. Besides, there is no such thing as a "Major Archbishop".
By the way, will the program be aired in English, or with subtitles?

He may be commemorated as such, yet I would like to know what land, jurisdiction, country he is a patriarch of?

Patriarch of Kiev (English/French spelling) and all the Rus. HB is also commemorated as Patriarch in this Eparchy 'Down Under'.

Perhaps not so different than the situation with Patriarch +Mystyslav of the UAOC. To this day much of Orthodoxy (including the MP) denies he was ever a Patriarch, but certainly he was elected by his own Synod to the position.
Patriarch Lubomyr was voted unanimously to be granted the title "Patriarch of Kyiv, Halych and All Rus'" by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Synod. My bishop +Richard of the Eparchy of St. Nicholas has also requested all clergy in our eparchy to commemorate His Beatitude as "Patriarch". Ecclesiastical reality from the Eastern Christian perspective is certainly reinforced by the public liturgical commemoration of the particular hierarchy.

"Patriarch of Kiev (English/French spelling) and all the Rus."
I hope you do see how that statement could not only be problematic but downright offensive to Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox Christians.

I am sorry but I don't think the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Synod can grant that title to a Catholic Bishop. I do not think they have the authority to do so.

Finally Vladyka Mstyslav of blessed memeory was the METROPOLITAN of the UOC-USA before our Church went under the omophor of the Ecumenical Patriarch. As I am not a member of the UAOC and thus and can not speak to the title he held in that particular jurisdiction.

I.F. Sounds fascinating! Any possibility of an English translation, or at least a solid summary? Peace and God bless!

Rome has not granted His Beatitude Lubomyr the title of Patriarch. Commemorating him as Patriarch during the Liturgy does not make him such. Only Rome granting him that title will make it official.
