Tomorrow our Bishop is paying his first visit to our new Antiochian Orthodox Church .... we are all very much excited and plan to have a dinner afterwards. We are a new church, with newly chrismated members, so this is something very new for all of us. I am constantly blessed with all of the richness into which God has allowed me to enter.

So is that your real bishop, Metropolitan Philip that is coming, or the recently reduced to an auxiliary, Bishop Thomas that will be there?

Bishop Thomas. To show you how new and dumb I am, I don't even know what you mean by "recently reduced."

Rejoice that Bishop Thomas is coming to visit. smile

And do not let the party-pooping denizens of the forest rain on your parish's parade. frown

Lions and tigers and bears and tigers, oh my! frown

Do not think of yourself this way.

As my grandmother used to say, "I learn something every day."

And as my Aunt Mary said, "I know nothing."

We are all pilgrims.

We are all dumb.

This was an absolutely delightful day! With our Matins and Divine Liturgy, and then the meal with Bishop Thomas .... again, I'm so grateful God has led me Home. I know I'm where I belong. Bishop Thomas is a dear, grounded man, with a very good sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoyed his presence with us all.
