She also mentions the YouTube video "The Christians of Iraq"
Father Loya had Julinana Taimoorazy from the Iraqi Christian Relief Council on as a guest again this week, Broadcast 250 [byzantinecatholic.com] Sunday, July 12, 2009. She mentions among other things a new documentary The Transient [iraqichristianrelief.org] available to view on their web site, blue tab, right column about half way down their home page.
I haven't been able to view the film portion. My "high speed" internet appears to not be high speed enough. I've looked though most of the "photos" section.
Some background on the makers of the documentary appears in the About [projecttransient.com] tab of the site:
Quote
With the support and blessing of my medical school...I spent the last three months of my fourth year of medical school in the Middle East, to study, learn, experience and photograph. I lived in Jaramana, a refugee camp a few kilometers outside Damascus, Syria, in a refugee health clinic established by the Assyrian General Conference... I hope the documentary film and photos will raise awareness and inspire others to continue to work to help Iraqi refugees.
Anobel Odisho Anobel is Assyrian, raised in San Jose, California and now lives in San Francisco...He is currently in his surgery residency at UCSF...
Adam Teale Adam was born and raised in Sydney, Australia.. He has worked in film and advertising as a visual effects creator, editor, and colourist...he met Anobel at a cafe in Aleppo, Syria... Adam became deeply interested in Anobel’s refugee health photodocumentary... he asked if he could help with the project... A few days later Adam and Anobel...began working for the next month on creating a documentary film to allow the refugees to tell their stories and showcase the photographs...
