Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You. Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Ray and grant him many blessed years.

Thank you for the very kind birthday greetings! When I get back to PA, I will post a few pics. The prayers really mean alot to me; keep them coming. Let's aim for victory! Ray

Father Joe Bertha (EWTN's Light of the East) and I share the same birthday on July 27. So we were honored to be treated for our birthdays by Father Glenn Davidowitch and Jody Baran. We had a great time! [ Linked Image]

Well, your birthdays also fall on the feast day of St. Panteleimon, who is highly honoured in the Orthodox church. There are also churches dedicated to him in Italy, such as the beautiful church of St. Pantaleo in Venice.
I posted a thread on his life that day.
The priest at church explained that his name was changed in Greek from his original name of Pantaleo (full of lion) to Pante leimon (full of mercy).
