Prayers for my brother in law

Please pray for my brother in law, Arthur. He is having surgery today to remove a cancerous tumor on his larynx. He will be left without the ability to speak and most likely paralyzed on one side. Please pray especially for spiritual and emotional healing for him and his family. He is a lifelong alcoholic and sometimes drug user, and has left all the emotional baggage typical of that situation in his wake. Please pray especially for my 15 year old niece, Alexis, that her relationship with him can be healed and that she can forgive him.
