Yes, I was in attendance and yes, the same Church Slavonic Prostopinije versions were used as was used the last 15 Otpusts. But I was very happily surprised that the "Council of Hierarchs" allowed the cantorka to sing the traditional Rusyn-Slavonic para-liturgical Eucharistist hymns during the distribution of Holy Communion. That was a real treat since they are now banned under the imposition of the RDL!

U-C,

Patty Dietz did in fact lead the singing at the Slavonic-language Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning.

It was a wonderful weekend.

I was there with friends Sunday night for the candle light procession. They actually sang "O Jesus, Love of Mankind, Have mercy on us..." and NO ONE was struck by lightning!!

AMOF, I kinda felt sort of like the Prophet Elijah, because as we were singing this, the wind started to blow and I knew that God was there and I want to cover my face...

Ask Pisankar about the Church Slavonic liturgy. He knows my critique of the singing at the Church Slavonic liturgy.
