I am reposting the link to this post here in case it is missed. Rest assured, there was never any danger to our posters' computers, and the administrators were on top of the situation as soon as it happened. Now it is just a waiting game for Google to reset their warnings.

What hath Google wrought? A poster e-mailed me last night about this. I use IE 8 and Earthlink. I had no problems with either and everything worked fine.

Everything depends on how your security settings in your browser are set. Mine and a number of others that I know, have theirs set higher than usual. This way it works as a secondary back-up to pick on such creatures. My netbook, with IE8 did not pick up on the warning, but that computer has everything (internet-wise) set at default. A number of folks I know, that have IE8 though, did pick up the warning as they had their settings to a higher sensitivity than default.

Each is according to how you have things set.

I just enabled my browser security to what it was. You're right. Google must have done the rescan already and declared the site safe.

Correct. Google has rescanned and all is well. They just now declared the site safe. But some browsers may take a bit to catch up.

I got a note that it had had two places on it, that had something attached to it. Seems to me, one of them was over a year ago. I could not get in here at all yesterday evening, and I emailed a few of the deacons that I had addy's for. It was the only way I could let anyone know.

I got in here first time today, just now. So something has changed.

Don't get me started on Earthlink. They have been on my last good nerve for some time. High speed DSL ... ROFL.
