Senator Ted Kennedy's stances were, in many regards, much at odds with the religious and political convictions of many - if not most - members of this forum. Additionally, his personal life was rife with circumstances that scandalized and oftimes overshadowed the good that he accomplished.

Regardless, it is not ours to judge him and, in Christian charity, as we have prayed for many other prominent persons who led controversial lives, I ask that you remember him and the Kennedy family in our prayers.

May his sins be forgiven him and may he rest in peace.

(Note that this is a Prayer Forum. Neither editorial comments nor criticism of the Senator's life are appropriate or acceptable posts to this thread.)

Our Savior, rest Your servant, Ted with the righteous and place him into Your mansion, as it is written, forgiving in Your goodness all willing and unintentional transgressions and all things done with knowledge or in ignorance, O Lover of mankind.

The mercies of God, the Kingdom of Heaven and the remission of
his sins let us ask of Christ, our King and our God.

Our Savior, rest Your servant with the righteous, and place him in Your court, as it is written. O Savior, You love mankind and are good; therefore, remit all his voluntary and involuntary sins and all those committed knowingly and unknowingly. (From the Great Panachida)

Eternal Memory.
