Having grown up (ok, I was well into the growing up stage by the time they debuted ) listening to Peter, Paul, and Mary (and the myriad other wonderful folk singers of that era), I spent many hours enjoying their music and still do, as my youngest two children find so many of their songs to be fun to learn and sing (and, at times, to learn from).

May her memory be eternal.

As the no-talent son of a very good trombonist, I have always appreciated live music, especially folk and bluegrass.

I offer a line from a country song:

"God bless the boys (& girls) who make the noise on 16th avenue"

May the Lord welcome his mother's namesake home.

I knew a gentleman once who had worked as a waiter in a high-end restaurant, and had occasion to serve a number of celebrities. He told me that of all the celebrities he had ever met, none was so gracious and down-to-earth as Mary Travers.

I feel like a member of my family has died. So many memories! In 1995 Mary called my 5 year old daughter up on stage to dance with her, something I will never forget on a muggy moonlit summers night. There was always something almost spiritual about P P & M, a time when we listened and hopefully learned. She will be greatly missed
