My 5 year old daughter and I have swine flu. Thankfully, the baby shows no signs, nor do the other children. My husband never gets sick!

Although she is still sick, my daughter is behaving almost normally. I, however, can barely move. I'm really having a difficult time recovering from this. I couldn't take tamiflu because I'm nursing. I guess I'm glad for that. My sickness goes on a bit longer and is worse, but the baby is spared. Sounds like a good trade to me!

The kids who don't have it are going stir-crazy because we can't go anywhere. So, they've watched way too much tv and beat up on each other while I've drifted in and out. The baby looks at me like I'm some sort of alien creature. I look, smell and taste like Mommy, but I don't pick her up when she's clearly in distress.

Your prayers would be tremendously appreciated!

Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth,

My humble prayers for you and your daughter's recovery...may it be swift and complete. I am sorry that you don't have any one around to help you with the children. The only time I had flu the children were little, and I don't know what I would have done if mom wasn't around to take them. (I was lucky, it was the week off right after Christmas)...

Take good care of yourself and may God bless and be with you all.

In Christ,
Alice

Elizabeth, prayers for you, the little one, and your family.
