In your mercy, please pray for Sicily, age 12, and her sister Haley, age 9.

Their father died of cancer in January; their mother was killed in a car crash yesterday. Tragedy upon tragedy, loss upon loss, grief upon grief: These children will need myriad prayers for years to come.

Oh my dear Lord God have mercy on these girls, Sicily and Haley...Kyrie Eleison!

I want to cry when I hear that any little girls lose their mother but to have also lost their father too...and at such a delicate age as puberty when they need a parent. Kyrie Eleison!!!

Lord have mercy...Comfort, guide and guard them...as a child, I remember serving two funerals...two parents of a young only child in my parish...several months apart...both harsh battles with cancer...heartbreaking...

The girls' parents are Philip and Camille: May they rest in a place where there is no pain, no grief, no sighing, but everlasting life.

Cicali (corrected spelling) and Haley will be raised by their Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jerry. May the Blessed Theotokos protect these girls, watching over them with tender compassion. May St. Joseph the Betrothed guide Stacy and Jerry as they open their hearts and lives to these children in their darkest hour.

Ps. 68:[5] Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation.
[6] God gives the desolate a home to dwell in...

CHILDREN OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER

Children of the heav'nly Father
Safely in His bosom gather;
Nestling bird nor star in Heaven
Such a refuge e'er was given.

God His own doth tend and nourish;
In His holy courts they flourish;
From all evil things He spares them;
In His mighty arms He bears them.

Neither life nor death shall ever
From the Lord His children sever;
Unto them His grace He showeth,
And their sorrows all He knoweth.

Though He giveth or He taketh,
God His children ne'er forsaketh;
His the loving purpose solely
To preserve them pure and holy.

Lo, their very hairs He numbers,
And no daily care encumbers
Them that share His ev'ry blessing
And His help in woes distressing.

Praise the Lord in joyful numbers:
Your Protector never slumbers.
At the will of your Defender
Ev'ry foeman must surrender.

Prays.
