I ask for prayers for my son Christian who is home with "flu like" symptoms. The small Catholic school my kids go to (130 kids) is closing tomorrow due to high rate of absences including staff.

I have two other children, Claire age 8 and Catherine age 9 months. I don't want to make it seem like I'm buying into the hystria regarding H1N1, but I (we) do worry about the baby and of course our other two as well. God blessed us after some years of wondering if we were done with children.

Thanks for your prayers! David

Dear David,

May the Lord, through the motherly intercessions of His Mother, our blessed Theotokos, keep little Christian from getting the H1N1 virus...may his guardian angel keep watch over him and help him get well soon...and may Claire and Catherine also be kept from developing any symptoms.

Kyrie Eleison!

In Christ,
Alice

Prayers for Christian, Claire, and Baby Catherine, that all may be preserved from illness and be granted many years in health and happiness.

Thanks for all the prayers! Should have noted that Christian is age 12. He's doing better today, but still running a high fever (102.5 - 103 F). The good part is that he is taking fluids and seems to be staying hydrated, but not very hungry. He's more disappointed we had to postpone his birthday celebration with some friends this coming weekend (Pizza out and arcade time).

So far Claire and Catherine are healthy! Again many thanks. May Our Lord bless you all!

David, we've just been through this in our family. Three of us got sick, three did not. Thankfully, I got the worst of it, and the kids had mild symptoms. It is not fun by any means, but in the vast majority of cases, everything will be fine. Prayers for the recovery of those who are sick, and the continued health of those who are well.

Elizabeth
