The Bulgarian bishops were not happy with these words from their brother bishop, and particularly since they have removed themselves from the International Catholic-Orthodox Dialogue and were at neither Cyprus nor Ravenna.

Bishop Tikhon was censured by the Bulgarian Church for these words and he was moved out of Western Europe and into another diocese.

I can't say that I know where he was relocated.

The Bulgarian Church website would have the synodal decision archived but the site is only in the Bulgarian language

Would that we Latins had such a mechanism for reining in maverick bishops.

I can't imagine why he would want to make a move like that without the concurrence of his synod.
