Please pray for Father Dan Bitsko. Tonight he was being honored at Smithtown, NY's Annual Heritage Ball. After his speech, he sat down and was feeling weak. He may have suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. This was supposed to be a wonderful night for him after all he has been through. Thank you for your prayers.

I am so sorry. He was always wonderful to my family and me whenever we visited his parish. He deserved so much better of the Church he served so well.

I just received this information on the status of Fr. Dan...

Quote
This morning Fr. Dan was taken off of the ventilator. His blood pressure has stabilized, but brain swelling remains a concern. While this is a step in a positive direction he still has a long road to recovery. The hospital is still asking that no one visit. Please continue to pray for him.
