When it comes to computerology, I admit I don't know Polish from polish. But I like the new look.

On my screen there is not only the horizontal line in the middle of the banner, but the color below is darker than that above the line. I also have trouble becaue the new format makes it necessary to expand to full screen again each time I move about from post to post.

Same here. I get the two shades of blue, too. Also, I have to scroll right a bit to get the last few letters of words on the right hand side of posts.

Thank goodness other folk are now seeing the same as me . I was getting worried that it was me smile

I don't have to scroll at all - I get the whole thing on my 13ins screen without problems - and the window is not taking up the whole of my desktop either .

As to the colour split - I'm still trying to work that out - for me the top half is relatively dark and the lower part starts a little bit darker and then lightens .

Would some screen shots perhaps help ?

I have to admit (and I've been looking at this since a few days before the posting of the thread, and have seen a few changes made to it over that time) that I am only noticing the horizontal line tonight.

Admittedly, I didn't look when Anhelyna first mentioned it because I thought that I knew to what she was referring (there is a horizontal band at the top on the front page which is darker than the rest of the banner - that doesn't appear on the forum banner, but I thought that was what was being described).

Many years,

Neil

It is too big; takes up too much screen real estate.

I have 1024 x 768 and it can cut off 3 or so letters of the last word on the right, at times. Doesn't do it always, but everything runs close to that right hand edge of the screen.

It this new format made for widescreen? At home everything fits, at work, not so much, I also lose 3 or so letters.

Thanks for the feedback!

The banner is simply 1000 pixels wide - which is pretty much the standard these days. Not intentionally "widescreen" but, rather, just the standard.

The colors on the rest of the page do need adjustment to go with the new banner (they will probably eventually match those used on the byzcath.org homepage). It is also possible that the banner might be better if it were a bit shorter vertically (it does seem a bit large). But we will leave it for awhile as that is the best way to see its potential.
