I thought about posting this as a poll, but John would really like to see some commentary and polltakers oftentimes tend to vote without commenting - so ...

We have a new banner/header on the site - both the forum and the other site pages.

There are some minor (to my eye - or my monitor - or both, not sure which) differences between that on the forum and that on the front and other pages. Folks may also experience some differences across browsers and/or computers (not sure, as I haven't compared in that way as yet, but past experience would suggest that it's likely).

Comments on both color and content are invited. If you choose to comment, please do so constructively. I suspect that it would also be helpful if you indicated whether you are commenting from the vantage of PC vs Mac and what browser you are using.

Many years,

Neil

Hmmm

Not sure I like the horizontal split - the colours do not match properly between the top part and the bottom part frown

Also the blue of the bar below it [ with all the bits and pieces on it - yeah very techie description there ] just does not tone in well - colour adjustment is needed somewhere.

I hardly ever SEE the banner; because of the way I browse, I see it on the search page.

The visible division line in the middle of the graphic is bothersome.

Lathe,

I'm intrigued at your reference to red borders. I just browsed with Google Chrome, thinking that it was a browser color change, but I don't see any red borders. Can you point out where you see those, please?

I like it and it looks pretty good. I am using a PC and IE 8. The colors and contrast seem fine to me.

However, this is change. Was it change in 19th century Russia? Is outrage.

The image is 1000 pixels wide, that's why.

Are Aramis and I the only ones to have spotted the horizontal line in the middle of the banner ?
