While surfing the net, I came across a video game of the Mass called Mass We Pray [ masswepray.com]. At first, I laughed, good and hard for a few minutes. This has to be a fake ad. I knew the Nintendo Wii was capable of great things, but being able to make my Sunday Obligation is not one of them. It's an interesting concept and the technology would be best used to help those who are home bound go beyond just hearing mass over the radio or watching it on tv. Peace, James

Yes, especially if there's a suggestion that the mass is in any way valid.

The game does not make that claim as far as I can tell. I still think it's a fake ad in reaction to the Dante's Inferno video game coming out.

Ok, I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but my 7 year old son saw me looking at the link and really wants to get it. He's a very pious little boy, so this is right up his alley. Scary.

It is fake. Click on the link for "Pre-Order"> It takes you to an ad for "Dante's Inferno"

Babochka,
Tell him to play priest in his own "Mass", as Catholic boys have been doing for generations.
No weird video game (with kids in street clothes performing the Asperges and swinging censers!) is needed.
Then again, maybe not. Mimicking a Sacrament is a strange custom, even if supported by small-t-tradition.

Alexis, he already does. He has a little altar set up just for that purpose, and the kids frequently remove all the icons and crosses from the walls for processions.
