Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows were I can get my hands on a byzantine breviary, byzantine divine office, or byzantine daily office. I have scavenged the internet trying to find a byzantine breviary and apparently the Ukrainian Eparchy published one a few years ago but is now out of print and I can't find a used one anywhere. I'm trying to find something more handy for home prayer that includes the readings, psalms, vespers, mantins, and hours. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Thanks!

Not sure which Ukrainian Eparchy you refer to, however have you tried the Ukrainian Archeparchy's Byzantine Church Supplies in Philadelphia?

Good luck!

The Ruthenian Vespers and Matins are up on the Metropolitan Cantor Institute website. Not the full breviary, however.

Might I also suggest you look at "Let Us Pray to the Lord" Volume I from Eastern Christian Publications. It includes the Daily Office and the needed propers for a lay person to pray accordingly. It also has some instructions on how to follow the changeable parts, etc. for Vespers and Matins. You can find it at www.ecpubs.com [ecpubs.com] on the Liturgical Books page of the Online Catalog, product #L01. Price is $30 for a 450 page book.

We're currently out of stock, but should have a reprint done in a few weeks.
