I just heard from a friend who is a long-time member of the Forum, although he hasn't often posted in recent times. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer that has metastasized to the lung and begins chemotherapy tomorrow.

Although our preference is always to pray by name, the individual is, by nature, an introvert and feeling somewhat overwhelmed by the attention and support received from those with whom he lives and works. So, he has asked that, for now, I not identify him by name.

Please, in your prayers, remember our friend and brother.

Through the intercession of the Holy Unmercenary Physicians, Cosmas and Damien, may our brother be treated successfully and be cured of this dread disease and granted many years in his ministry for the Lord.

Prayers for healing of these illnesses and for successful treatment to alleviate any pain! Prayers that the course of chemotherapy will work well.
Prayers offering spiritual support for our brother in Christ.

I thank you for initiating these prayers for me. I feel comfortable enough now with revealing myself so that the prayers can be by name now.

I thank you all for your prayers. The first round of chemo treatment went well.

Br David, O.Carm.
